There were unique interludes (a play in a play) of the children and teenagers
acting out their feelings about these events, as they related them to their everyday experiences.

If you missed this stage play, you missed a treat! The house was packed!
The audience was pleasantly surprised and pleased.
Ask anybody who was in attendance and you will get the overwhelming response of how they enjoyed the play.

The characters were dressed similar to the culture of that time in history to depict the realness of the situations
as a way of bringing the characters to life.

There were scenes that included the plan of Judas to deceive Jesus, the Last Supper with Jesus and His chosen Twelve Disciples, Women, Men and Children in the crowd mocking Jesus.

There also was the re-enactment of an earthquake, soldiers taking Jesus back and forth to be tried before the High Priest and Pilate, Jesus' mother Mary weeping soberly for her son, and the Mothers of our church explaining to the youth, in simple English, what it all means.

The culminating scene was portrayed as Jesus carried the “Sins of the world” on His shoulders.
The Cross represents the “Sins of the world!”

As Jesus was carrying our sins, our very dynamic guest vocalist, Ms. Angela Blair sang the song “Calvary”.

By His stripes, we are healed and can all be saved!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
