How can one put into words what to say about such a unique individual?
Well, that's what you're up against when the name Pastor A. C. Toney is mentioned.
He's not a man who “fears man,” but he certainly does “fear God.” But whatever and however one chooses to speak of him, here at the Pleasant Zion Missionary Baptist Church, we know without any reservations that he is truly complex by design and not choice.
That is why it is important to follow a pastor who is led by the Master [Jesus].
Our Pastor is a man of character and high standards. He is witty, full of laughter and has a great passion for the teach Word and the Preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
He is a man of great integrity and believes in everything being done here at our church, decently and in order.

While we culminate the celebration of 34+ Years of Service for his leadership as our Pastor, allow us to inform some and remind others, that his role of a Pastor didn't just begin with Pleasant Zion.
However, it is now here and here alone that we believe God birthed this church in his heart and he would rather fight for us than switch to someone else.
And as a member, one must be ready to accept reproof, rebuke and correction under his leadership as Pastor.

 Yes, he is one that God has both called and qualified to preach this most profound Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Toney has answered to the clarion call of being the one [the preacher] whom God has ordained and he has been charged to go.
He takes seriously the business of God's work in preparation of the Gospel, in perfecting and equipping the saints, and the urgency and importance of saving souls.
Pastor Toney stands without reservation to profoundly and prolifically proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
It is in this passage of the theme scripture as noted (Romans 10:14b) that Paul gives reason for the necessity of proclaiming the gospel:
 The call must be preceded by faith;
 Faith must be preceded by hearing; which indicates that knowledge is essential to belief and that faith must have a valid content;
 Because hearing requires a preacher, and;
 Because preaching requires being sent; and the One who sends is God.

And it is both ironic and unique that scripture declares: … as it is written;
“HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THEM THAT PREACH THE GOSPEL OF PEACE, AND BRING GLAD TIDINGS OF GOOD THINGS.”
Pastor Toney is a strong supporter, a team player and the greatest cheerleader of every ministry within our church.
He has a zeal for perfection and a strong belief within his own self that illuminates to the membership, that we must do our best for God at all times.
Pastor Toney definitely does not believe in coming in second to anything! With him, there is only one winner - P.Z. - no matter what anyone else says.
Pastor Toney loves us and we love him! He has no problem expressing it to all who are around him and come to know him.
We take great honor, pride and pleasure in honoring our Pastor, for these most glorious and blessed 34+ years of service at the Pleasant Zion MBC.
It is our prayer that God will continue to anoint you and pour out His blessings upon you in that He has given you to us as our Pastor, that we may continue to “Follow a Pastor Who Is Led By The Master.”
